Application & Enrollment Procedures

Eastern sun Academy is presently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year.

How to Apply   

  • Attend a School Tour and Informational Meeting to learn about the mission, curriculum and educational philosophy of Eastern Sun Academy.  
  • Complete, sign and return one application per child to Eastern Sun Academy.   Enclose the application fee of $50.00.  Application fee waivers available with approved financial aid application.
  • Give signed Kindergarten or 1st-5th grade feedback forms to your child’s current teacher(s) to complete and return to Eastern Sun Academy. If your child has had any therapy or psychological evaluations, have additional feedback forms for each of these therapists/evaluators to complete and return.  We suggest supplying a stamped, addressed envelope with each to facilitate this process.   
  • Submit school records request form to appropriate current school office for release of records to Eastern Sun Academy.   

Once your application and fee have been received, you will be contacted to schedule an assessment with our director and teachers. This will be an opportunity for you to explore in further detail whether Eastern Sun Academy is a good fit for your child and family.  

►Applications are not complete until the application, the application fee, teacher feedback forms and supporting documentation have been received, as well as current school records (if applicable).

Fees

The following fees are required to apply and to hold a space for your child:

  • A non-refundable application fee of $50 per child.
  • If offered an enrollment space, a non-refundable deposit equal to 1/10th tuition is required to hold your child’s space upon signing and returning your contract. This deposit is applied to your last month’s payment for the calendar year.
  • A materials fee of $575, to be paid on June 1, or with your contract.

 

Contracts

  • You will receive a notification letter with our decision regarding your child’s acceptance to Eastern Sun Academy. If your child is accepted, this letter will be accompanied by a contract for enrollment.
  • The contract should be signed by all parents/guardians and must be returned within 14 days along with the deposit check to hold a place in class.  Contracts will not be considered complete without the deposit.
